Fika (fee-ka), a Swedish word for which there is no literal English translation, is a cultural tradition of breaking for coffee and baked goods. We value the warmth and community that comes with fika as well as some of the cultural practices of our Scandinavian friends, including midwifery-dominated maternity care.
